Sheri Emerson is the Digital & Photography Artist Spotlight winning artist for the month of December 2018. She is an international award-winning Tempe, Arizona based photographer and digital artist. Sheri has been a photographer her entire life, from a child snapping pictures with her 110 camera, to her first SLR, but her passion for photography exploded when she bought her first DSLR three years ago. As an artist, Sheri’s goal is to take what other people look at, and give them another way to see and experience it.

Sheri’s Solo Art Exhibition will be featured on the website for the month of December 2018. Sheri Emerson’s Biography

Sheri has been a photographer her entire life, from a child snapping pictures with her 110 camera, to her first SLR. Her passion for photography exploded when she bought her first DSLR three years ago. She has intensively studied both Photoshop and Lightroom to learn how to enhance her photography and turn it into digital art, and began entering competitions last year.

She received “Best in Show” awards in Fusion Art’s quarterly “Women Artists” and the “All Weather of the Seasons” Contemporary Art Gallery Online competitions. She placed second and won a coveted Gold Award in the SINWP “Creatures Great and Small” competition, and is also a seven-time top ten overall winner in the Light, Space and Time Online Art Gallery competitions.

Sheri’s work has been published in “Living the Photo Artistic Life” magazine, “Photoshop Creative UK” magazine, “Conceptual Images” magazine, “Fine Eye Magazine” for fine art photography, and “A5 Magazine”.

Her work has also been shown at the Pennsylvania Center for Photography, Orenda Gallery in Lake Tahoe, Heaven Art Gallery in Scottsdale, and the Blank Wall Gallery in Athens, Greece.

Sheri splits her time between Tempe, Arizona and Labrador, Canada, and dedicates herself to pushing her photography and digital art even further. Her work is currently being sold on the curated ArtBoja website and can be seen at her website: www.sheriemerson.com

Sheri Emerson’s Artist Statement

The world fascinates me, from the grandest mountains to the tiniest of creatures, and everything in between. My goal is to take what other people look at, and give them another way to see and experience it. I pour my passion into transforming a salt-battered stand of trees into a gothic mystery, or a beautiful lake into a mystical portrait, or a pair of eagles in a zoo into the free creatures I imagine when I look through my lens.
