K. Carrington is the 3-Dimensional Artist Spotlight winning artist for the month of February 2020. She is an award-winning 3D artist, based in Colorado, who creates large-scale art sculptures that are permanently installed on public lands.

K’s Solo Art Exhibition will be featured on the website for the month of February 2020. The gallery will promote K and her work on the Fusion Art website, individual online press releases to hundreds of outlets, email blasts to over 4,000+ buyers, collectors, galleries and art professionals, in online event calendars, art news websites and through the gallery’s extensive social media outlets.  Fusion Art’s objective is to promote the Artist Spotlight winning artists, worldwide, to art professionals, gallerists, collectors and buyers.

Artist Biography

K. Carrington’s work is as concerned with the location in which the piece is experienced as it is with the material by which it is constructed. K’s sculptures are permanently installed on public lands and left to the elements and any unsuspecting passersby. Her solo installations take her all over the country- across seven states and counting, to create what she calls the ‘purity of experience’ for the viewer. Her work brings with it a sense of serendipity- that anyone can purposely find or stumble upon these pieces.

The works are titled with their unique geographical coordinates, playing into a map-obsessed culture (i.e.- Google maps). The nature of her work makes operating in the traditional gallery structure nearly impossible and difficult to document. The photo documentation of each piece is completed in the season and time of day that best highlights this essential relationship between the work and the environment. The photograph stands as the only permanent testimony to the work. The rest of the story is left to nature’s violent imperfections.
