Haimeng Cao is the Digital & Photography Artist Spotlight winning artist for the month of July 2019. He is a Los Angeles, California based digital artist and his work consists of mainly digital paintings of dystopian future city landscapes.

Haimeng's Solo Art Exhibition will be featured on the website for the month of July 2019. The gallery will promote Haimeng and his work on the Fusion Art website, individual online press releases to hundreds of outlets, email blasts to over 3,500+ collectors, galleries, buyers and art professionals, in online event calendars, art news websites and through the gallery’s extensive social media outlets.  Fusion Art's objective is to promote the Artist Spotlight winning artists, worldwide, to art professionals, gallerists, collectors and buyers.

Haimeng Cao's Biography

Haimeng Cao is a freelance artist in Los Angeles. He graduated in ArtCenter College of Design, illustration major. His skills focus on concept design and visual development. He worked in Blizzard Entertainment in 2018 as a contract concept artist and 3D modeler to work with creative director and lead artist for their upcoming game. He was also a cinematic concept artist and storyboard artist of Framestore in 2017 who worked for upcoming film Dune directed by Denis Villeneuve.

Haimeng Cao's Artist Statement

The medium is digital painting, rendering and modeling. He was influenced by several dystopian novels, especially 1984 and Brave New World, and the artists such as Mobius and Katsuhiro Otomo. The theme of his work is mainly about future city landscape design, the atmosphere and mood of the works otherwise indicate the totalitarian and formalized future societies. Every piece of work has unique camera angle and displays spectacular panorama of the city. Each city has different architecture styles and atmospheres. The story is established within those techniques.
