Diamante Lavendar is the Digital & Photography Artist Spotlight winning artist for the month of August 2019. She is a Midwest, US based inspirational author and artist. Her work explores the themes of spirituality, self discovery and overcoming hardships.

Diamante’s Solo Art Exhibition will be featured on the website for the month of August 2019. Artist Statement

I see all forms of art as being expressed offerings from the artists themselves; a way to help understand and empathize with things of an intellectual and spiritual nature in the world around us. As an artist myself, I am inspired by spirit, nature and emotion. I love to create things that include all three elements. Spirituality is a huge part of who I am as an artist and an author. I enjoy expanding those elements to include my belief that everyone and everything are important pieces of life’s beautiful tapestry!

I have written three award-winning books, all about things I’ve been through in life. They’ve won a combined 17 awards to date. I write about overcoming hardship and pain in life. I want my readers to know that hope and healing after hardship and loss is possible. I also want them to know that they’re not alone in their pain.

I also create art, and I have been featured in twelve online exhibits to date and have won numerous art awards. My art is spiritual in nature and it explores the human condition. I like to create what I imagine exists in other realms and I enjoy making all types of art such as drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, fractal art and digital art. I am always experimenting with different styles and perspectives.
