Welcome to the “Art for Animals” Juried Art Exhibition for Charity.
During the month of December 2016 Fusion art is hosting an Art Exhibition to support local Coachella Valley animal welfare organizations. The gallery has partnered with the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, SNIP, The Living Desert, Animal Samaritans, and the Humane Society of the Desert. All five organizations are 501(3)(c) nonprofits that are committed to the humane treatment of all animals and the preservation of life through no-kill philosophies.
A juried art competition was held July 21st through September 20th. For the competition artists and photographers, worldwide, were encouraged to share their artistic vision of animals, both domestic and wild. Twenty four winners were selected along with twenty two additional finalists.The exhibition will be held in the gallery from December 7th through the 31st, with an opening reception on the evening of December 10th between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
All artwork is available for sale and the net proceeds from the competition entry fees, the gallery’s portion of the sale of any artwork in the exhibition, and from the sale of two charity calendars will be donated equally to the five charities.

Two 12″ x 12″ charity calendars were produced from the twenty four winners – a traditional art calendar and a digital art calendar. Proceeds from the sale of the calendars will be donated equally to the five charities.
The Art for Animals Charity Calendars are now available for sale until they sell out. The price for the calendars are $25.00 + tax (CA only) + shipping (if applicable). If you are interested in purchasing more than 9 calendars at one time contact the gallery at 760-832-7568 for special shipping arrangements. The Art for Animals Calendars are no longer available. The balance of unsold calendars were donated equally to each charity for them to sell and keep the proceeds. If you are interested in purchasing a calendar, please contact the charities directly to inquire about availability.

The Palm Springs Animal Shelter is the only public shelter in the Coachella Valley operating under the no-kill philosophy and is dedicated to responsible pet stewardship and the humane treatment of animals.
SNIP is a low cost, mobile spay and neuter bus that just took its inaugural ride on June 3, 2016. The organization provides an affordable mobile veterinary clinic that spays and neuters animals all over the Coachella Valley.
The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is committed to desert conservation through preservation, education and appreciation. Desert animals face many challenges to survival and the Living Desert is committed to build up, under controlled conditions, populations of various species of desert animals and plants threatened with extinction through cooperative research, educational programs and biological studies contributing to the protection of desert species in a wild state.
Animal Samaritans is committed to eliminating the euthanasia of adoptable animals. They have programs and services to save the lives of healthy and treatable animals through humane education; low cost spay and neuter; low-cost vaccinations; microchipping; shelter and care; and adoption. They also offer free services that enhance the bond between people and animals, such as a volunteer-based animal assisted therapy program for hospitals, health care, special needs facilities, and Juvenile Hall.
The Humane Society of the Desert is the largest no-kill animal sanctuary in Southern California with a nine acre facility and an Animal Hospital that provides state of the art veterinarian services for our animals and the community.
