Welcome to Fusion Art’s 4th Annual Colorful Abstractions International Online Juried Art Exhibition for the month of October 2018.

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists were encouraged to share their best interpretation of the the “Colorful Abstractions” theme by submitting their best nonobjective or nonrepresentational art. All artists, over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their best abstract art and photography.

We once again received a diverse collection of quality artwork from artists all around the world including the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Philippines, China, Ireland and Italy.

In this monthly themed exhibition Fusion Art presents awards in three categories: Traditional Art, Digital Art & Photography and 3-Dimensional Art. The Colorful Abstractions Best in Show winners are Barbara Mosher for her mixed media, “Lipstick on His Collar”, Mac Titmus for his digital photograph, “Return to the Source” and Marlene Siff for her acrylic on linen, “Elegy.” Barbara, Mac and Marlene are Fusion Art’s Featured Artists for the month of October 2018 and, as the Best in Show winners, all three artists are invited to participate in Fusion Art’s 3rd Annual Group Show in Palm Springs in February 2019.

Other award winners include Second Place winners, Julia Hamilton for her mixed media painting, “Zydeco”, Bette Ann Levine for her digital photograph on acrylic, “Crowded Boardwalk,” and Stephanie Robison for her marble, wood and paint, “Hookup”. Third Place awards were given to Michelle Silverman for her resin on masonite, “Stained Glass,” Michal (Mitak) Mahgerefteh for her digital painting, “The Gathering,” and Janet Rutkowski for her brushed and patinated steel with masonry nails, “Peligroso”. Fourth Place awards were given to Stuart Lehrman for his acrylic enamel and oil paint on pvc panel, “Simultaneous Stimulation” and Patrick O’Brien for his metallic inkjet print, “Flora Harmonix”. Fifth Place awards were given to Beatrice Dauge for her oil on canvas, “CIRCLE OF LIFE” and Bill Burgess for his mixed digital media printed on white chromaluxe aluminum, “This is the Sound of My Voice 1”.

Please visit the Monthly Winners Page to learn more about each of these award winning artists and/or to contact them directly about their work.

In addition, this month, eight honorable mention awards are given as special recognition due to the exceptional quality of the art received for this competition. Honorable Mention awards in the Traditional Art category are given to Gerald Chodak for his acrylic on canvas, “In the Forest”, Gail Lehman for her acrylic on canvas, “The Red Cube”, Cheryle Gannaway for her acrylic on canvas, “Let the Chips Fall”, and Gregory Sabin for his oil on birch panel, “Number Eight Nocturnes”.

Honorable Mention awards in the Digital & Photography category are given to Lillianne Daigle for her digital art, “Impetus”, Kathleen Greenwood for her digital artwork, “Organic Flare”, Elena Chukhlebova for her digital photo print, “Canyon Waves”, and Robert Romano for his photograph in gallery box frame, “Venice Nocturnal 1”.

The remaining finalists in the exhibition all exemplify uniquely creative talents and we’re honored to showcase their artwork on the Fusion Art website.

As always, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the competition participants. While not all the artwork that was submitted was selected for inclusion in the exhibition this in not necessarily a reflection on any one artist’s talent and/or skill.  It takes courage for artists to offer up one’s art up for critique by others and all the artists should be applauded for their efforts. We appreciate all of you sharing your extraordinary talent with us.

For anyone interested in purchasing any of the artwork in this exhibition, please contact the artists directly. You will find the artist’s website and/or email information below their work.

Please visit our YouTube Channel to see the Traditional, Digital & Photography and Sculpture videos for the exhibition.

Thank you for visiting our website and enjoy the exhibition!
