Philip Hopper is currently part of the Communication Studies faculty at the University of Northern Iowa. He was a Fulbright Scholar in the West Bank at Al-Quds University during the 2012-2013 academic year, then continued that teaching and research as a visiting professor during 2013-2014 at Al-Quds Bard. He previously worked in New York City and Amman, Jordan. His success as a teacher in those locations is well documented and consistent over time. His award-winning documentaries include The Road Home, about injured soldiers who compete in the New York City Marathon, and The Park in Ramallah, about the safety of children in occupied territories. His long-term, on-going photojournalism project, Images of Conflict and Conflict Resolution in the Public Sphere, includes images and interviews from Belfast, Northern Ireland, the Palestinian West Bank and Israel. This work has emerged in book chapters, peer-evaluated journals and gallery shows. An interactive mapping project that examines public transportation and the difficulty of travel in the West Bank is a work-in-progress. Hopper holds an M.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute.

John works with heavy body acrylics on fairly large canvases with a lot of detail and bold colors. He calls his style ‘realistic impressions’ because, while the overall feel of the work is definitely realism, he offsets the detail with impressionistic splashes of color. Instead of smooth blending, he likes to use puzzle pieces of color to emphasize the complex relationship of light and shadow over form. John’s inspiration comes from the hidden beauty in ordinary objects.

As a photographer, my particular ability is producing images that can be displayed in sensational quality, detail and size. It is a remarkable feeling to capture a large and beautiful scene in all of its minute detail.
The common way to photograph involves using a wide angle lens to fit the full scene into a single shot. That method does not produce enough pixels to satisfy my thirst for detail in a large print size. Instead, I use an alternate technique of zooming in to acquire the individual portions of a scene, and later assembling them into one. After meticulously adjusting exposure and color levels on a final image that seems the size of a football field on my monitor, the photographs are ready for print.

Hilary is a British Artist best known for her beach scenes and depictions of European cities. Her work is impressionistic and has won her numerous awards.
Her luminous paintings seek out the light wherever it can be found – in a reflection on a lake, in the upraised faces of seaside holiday makers, or slanting over a crumbling Venetian façade. She has always been drawn to compositions featuring the light, especially reflecting on water or on individuals or groups of people, and this is the combination of fascinations is what drew her to painting her subjects of choice
She has paintings worldwide in collections and her works have accepted to show in the magnificent Mall Galleries, London. She also holds exhibition of works at the famous Carrousel de Louvre, Paris where she will also be exhibiting in October 2018.

A long time photographer with a lifelong appreciation for the Arts, and a career as Design Engineer in the construction industry has given Don an interesting background for his Architectural photography.
He states “This series came about, while traveling through some of our most modern cities, I began to notice the repetitive forms and reflective surfaces inherent in many of the high rise structures and glass towers of the urban landscape. I saw these as abstractions which I found interesting and challenging to the eye. I am using the urban architectural landscape to create compositions that are the expression of my vision- details and juxtapositions pulled from the city scape that are present but not readily observed.”

I’m Trish Hoskin and I call myself a Digital Artist. For many years I worked with watercolour and pastels but had a great love of the immediacy of photography. I mostly taught myself Photoshop and am now able to combine both worlds. Being able to make an artistic piece from a photo gives me a great thrill.
My passion is for working with Architectural Type Images melding them with beautiful backgrounds. I can create the final pieces on canvas or the amazing look on aluminium. I have been working recently with Buildings as a theme and recently visited the amazing city of Launceston in Tasmania where the architecture was wonderful. I loved varied images and collages especially.
