Traditional ArtKat Bergman

“A Moment in Time”
Acrylic on Canvas – 30″ x 30″ – NFS

Originally from Kansas City, Kat spent her youth drawing, painting, and dreaming of becoming an internationally known fashion designer! She has spent most of her life in the SF Bay Area. A single mother, she studied Fine Art in college as she worked to raise her family.

Kat spent many years doing portraiture and figurative work, along with some sculpture. Her award-winning work has taken a turn in the past few years to the abstract/expressionistic. Her love of form and movement is revealed through the use of vibrant colors and texture. She is passionate about the intuitive nature of this type of art making, letting each piece spontaneously develop a life of its own. These pieces resonate with the soul voice of the artist.

“There is a certain amount of self-discovery that occurs when I create…I find the process spiritual and healing in nature. Art is my preferred method of communication! My hope is to engage the viewer into my world without uttering a word, to elicit some sleeping deep emotion or memory, and most importantly, enrich their lives through my art.”

Kat now works from her studio in San Carlos, CA. Her work hangs in collectors’ homes throughout the USA.

Please visit Kat’s website if you are interested in seeing more of her work.

Jake Mosher grew up in Northern Vermont and has lived in Montana for the past 23 years. He has worked as a logger, miner, essayist, novelist, prize-fighter and explosives engineer.

In September, 2017, Jake walked away from corporate America to pursue his photography full time. He believes that anyone willing to walk outside the lines will find a world there still worth seeing. By chronicling some the remaining wildest places in the West with his photos, Jake hopes that people will realize the importance of preserving true wilderness and also making time to visit what lies off the beaten path.
