Originally from Kansas City, Kat spent her youth drawing, painting, and dreaming of becoming an internationally known fashion designer! She has spent most of her life in the SF Bay Area. A single mother, she studied Fine Art in college as she worked to raise her family.
Kat spent many years doing portraiture and figurative work, along with some sculpture. Her award-winning work has taken a turn in the past few years to the abstract/expressionistic. Her love of form and movement is revealed through the use of vibrant colors and texture. She is passionate about the intuitive nature of this type of art making, letting each piece spontaneously develop a life of its own. These pieces resonate with the soul voice of the artist.
“There is a certain amount of self-discovery that occurs when I create…I find the process spiritual and healing in nature. Art is my preferred method of communication! My hope is to engage the viewer into my world without uttering a word, to elicit some sleeping deep emotion or memory, and most importantly, enrich their lives through my art.”
Kat now works from her studio in San Carlos, CA. Her work hangs in collectors’ homes throughout the USA.
Please visit Kat's website if you are interested in seeing more of her work.

Jake Mosher grew up in Northern Vermont and has lived in Montana for the past 23 years. He has worked as a logger, miner, essayist, novelist, prize-fighter and explosives engineer.
In September, 2017, Jake walked away from corporate America to pursue his photography full time. He believes that anyone willing to walk outside the lines will find a world there still worth seeing. By chronicling some the remaining wildest places in the West with his photos, Jake hopes that people will realize the importance of preserving true wilderness and also making time to visit what lies off the beaten path.

I have long been inspired by the magical and luminous artwork of the Old Masters, the Hudson River School artists, and others. My artistic journey was fueled by studying French Art and History in Paris, France in the early 1990s. I’ve walked the same terrain of some of the great artists, and painted at some of the same locations they did. My artistic journey continues to expand to broader strokes of color and a deeper appreciation of what the paint demands of me on the canvas, not a reflection of the landscape that lays out before me. These places give my work an initial direction, but the paintings always take a life of their own.
My paintings are a reflection of how I see the world and I often get lost in the creation. Through the use of different techniques, including abandoning the brush and using my hands and rags, I directly connect with the painting. There is a kind of magic that happens when you are completely in the moment of painting. A viewer’s enjoyment of my art is an individual experience. I provide an initial jumping off point, and then they are transported to their own special place.

My art bridges the world of reality and the realm of imagination. Using the techniques digital art offers today’s photographer I meld classic photography with digital imagery creating a medium I call “Interpretative Photography.” Interpretative photography is a medium that pushes photography in an exciting new direction: one that defies rules and ignores the limitations of in-camera photography. It takes advantage of and explores the evolving techniques of the digital medium. The result is a fluid art form that merges proven old-school photography with the revolution of new-age photography.

He has been called a leader in the art world and is currently Vice-President of the not-for-profit Long Island art organization, North Shore Art Guild. In 2016 and 2017 he was executive director of “Artists United In the Fight Against Cancer,” helping raise nearly $40,000 for regional cancer treatment organizations. Karen received a BFA from the New York Institute of Technology and continued her studies in fine art, specializing in botanical illustration and in watercolor and oil painting that focused on American Impressionism. Her concentration is in traditional, transparent watercolors and also new approaches to mid-century abstract expressionism in acrylics. She works both in the studio and en plein air, and she can often be found combing the shores, marshes, and roads of Cape Cod. Her greatest influence and teacher has been her mother, a classically trained artist. She currently creates and lives in upstate New York. Her recent work can be found on her website, www.karenbauerstudio.com, and can be purchased through www.Etsy.com/shop/ThePaintedLifeStudio.
Jeff A. Brown is a photographer of the cosmos, capturing the light from distant galaxies, star clusters and nebulae in amazing detail. In his astrophotography he uses eye catching color palettes to accentuate key features of far flung objects. For the last 10 years, Jeff has been experimenting with acrylic and oil painting, digital art and sculpture, ranging from realism to abstract styles. Prior to that, Jeff spent over 25 + years as a software solutions architect, involved in the details of software design as well as the management of large teams of technical professionals. Designing and creating software was a creative process for him, as he enjoyed finding solutions to business needs. Jeff finds a similar challenge with astrophotography, where he sees the process as a puzzle. His art is an excellent mesh between technical ‘systems’ thinking and creative expansive exploration. The technical proficiency required for success in both Jeff’s early career carries over to this unique pursuit. Both require patience, tenacity and an aptitude for diving deep into a subject. Jeff’s astrophotography requires precision combined with creativity. It is a true blending of science and art.

My mixed media collages and constructions reflect my interest in the physicality of objects, their “thingness”: textures, shapes, colors. Regardless of which series, message, or symbolism, all my work uses mixed media and a variety of found objects.
The "LHSB 1.602 Classroom" series examines the view out the windows that would change depending on where I stood and the daily weather conditions. The sky changed and was also unchanging. Sometimes walls, ceiling, and floor were solid and impenetrable. Other days they disappeared and were nonexistent.
The "Moonrise Rift" and "Night Cloud" series explore the sensuous texture of the darkened sky as seen by the naked eye and as revealed by the unconscious mind at night in dreams: sometimes the sweetly poetic and sometimes the "omnia noctis" (omens of the night).
I explore the sensuous texture of clouds and sky, the palpable quality of the blackness, and stars as small white orbs, pinpoints of light. The parting of the clouds reveals the moon’s glow that whitens the sky as it illuminates and caresses the night clouds and sometimes tears and tatters the fabric of the night sky.

For over 45 years I was a classical musician, working within the parameters of a very controlled artistic environment. Now as an oil painter, I am inspired by the many beautiful landscapes I encounter on my daily walks and travel adventures. I am free to experience and explore boundless vistas of opportunities, capturing in oil the seductive qualities of atmosphere and natural light.
